Council approves housing, elections, and solar

The Ann Arbor City Council approved a package of consent items and resolutions including a $914,865.84 purchase of solar photovoltaic modules, ordering two charter amendments for the November ballot, direction to develop a comprehensive anti-displacement plan, and adoption of a revised solid waste ordinance. Council also approved an annexation at 3400 Dexter Road, vacated John Street subject to utility and transfer agreements with the University of Michigan, and authorized several contracts and budget adjustments including purchase and service agreements related to water recovery, janitorial services, and recycling.
