Alexandria City Council Public Hearing — Action docket adopted; hearings closed on FY2027 budget, tax rates, zoning and ordinances (April 18, 2026)
City Council met in-person and electronically on April 18, 2026; all members were present. Council approved the action docket consent items (with items 6 and 8 handled by separate motions), adopted an address renumbering ordinance, approved supplemental FY2026 appropriations, authorized execution of administrative project agreements with VDOT, closed multiple public hearings including the FY2027 add/delete proposals and proposed tax rates, and approved several development special use permits (including Eisenhower Pointe Phase 2 with an amendment to condition #96). A zoning text amendment updating commercial uses was initiated and approved as amended. The meeting was adjourned at 2:47 p.m. A proclamation recognizing National Library Week was endorsed and public comment was received.
