Planning Commission (Nov 7, 2019): multiple SUP/DSUP approvals, text amendment advanced, one encroachment deferred
The City of Alexandria Planning Commission convened Nov. 7, 2019 (called to order at 7:05 PM; adjourned 10:20 PM). The Commission recommended approval of multiple Special Use Permits and Development Special Use Permits (including Modera Tempo parking modifications, Carlyle Plaza Two updates, and school-related DSUP for Patrick Henry) and approved a development site plan for Alexandria Presbyterian Church. Staff-requested and applicant-requested deferrals included an encroachment case and a noise ordinance discussion; the Commission initiated and recommended approval of a Text Amendment to define and regulate Continuum of Care facilities. Several administrative SUP approvals were noted.
