Council approves tax ordinance on first reading, schedules hearings; adopts appointments and receives financial reports

At the March 10, 2026 Alexandria City Council Legislative Meeting the Council held a closed executive session, approved a tax-rates ordinance on first reading and scheduled public hearings, endorsed a rezoning ordinance on first reading, adopted a resolution on school funding intent, received financial and capital project reports, and completed multiple appointments and removals to boards and commissions.
